A unified platform where Muslim youth track their wellness across all 8 dimensions, consult 24/7 AI grounded in Quran and Sunnah, and train together in small cohorts guided by mentors — all framed as the Hero's Journey.
"Our mission is to bridge the widening gap between youth and community by empowering the younger generation to navigate the complexities of the digital world and become the hero of their own journey."— Vaseem & Humaira Ahmed, Founders of Hero's Journey
Muslim youth are overwhelmed by the digital world, detaching from spiritual values, and lacking structured guidance for wholistic well-being. As the founders put it: "We are at a stage of urgency before the emergency. Wellness before Illness."
Youth disconnected from community, spiritual values, and structured guidance
AI tools and training to equip youth as leaders and community contributors
A fiduciary duty to the community — making the transition safer and smoother
TrueBlue — where Deen meets Dunya, where time becomes Jannah currency
A single mobile application with three role-based sections. True Life for personal growth, True Connect for community and learning, True Coach for the mentors who guide the heroes. Guardian Mode is built into both True Life and True Connect from day one.
The Hero's Inner Journey
The Fellowship · Where Heroes Train Together
For the Producers · The Obi-Wans and Yodas
Joseph Campbell's monomyth — the narrative DNA behind Star Wars, The Matrix, and The Lion King — is the architecture of TrueBlue. Every one of Christopher Vogler's 12 stages maps directly to a feature in the platform.
True Life onboarding — the hero knows themselves: their habits, their time, their fitra
Deed Dashboard — the hero sees the gap between where they are and where they could be
Accountability friction — the platform surfaces missed goals and resistance
DeenMind AI — Quran, Sunnah, and scholarly guidance. Pocket Mufti. True Guide. 24/7
True Connect — the hero joins a community, finds their cohort of 5, commits to the journey
Cohort challenges, group accountability, the nafs as the inner adversary
ABCD Journal — deep reflection, the C's of Life, confronting the self before the Creator
5-week Transformation Blocks — facing the hardest questions (the 5 Questions of Judgment Day)
Mindset progression — Fix→Open→Like→Growth→Master→Entrepreneur. Tangible leveling up
Integration — applying growth to real life, serving family and community with new strength
The hero becomes a Producer — teaching, mentoring, leading their own cohort of 5
Legacy — their story inspires the next generation. Time converted into Jannah currency
Your own four-stage framework — from page 35 of your deck — is how we structure this engagement. We don't impose an external methodology. We use yours.
Deep-dive workshops. Align on scope. Review the Excel worksheets. Confirm every feature against the vision deck. Output: a validated scope document both sides agree on.
Clickable prototypes in front of community imams, parents, and donors. Identify 2–3 pilot masjids. Prepare donor-ready presentation. De-risk before heavy engineering begins.
Iterative development. True Life first. DeenMind as the anchor. Monthly builds you can touch. Alpha at Month 6 with pilot masjids live. Beta at Month 7. v1.0 at Month 8.
Measure what matters: mindset progression completions, cohort graduations, journal consistency, “Jannah Currency” scores. Not DAUs — lives changed.
Eight months from kickoff to public launch, with working software every month.
Workshops with Vaseem & Humaira. Refine prototypes. Identify pilot masjids and scholar partners. Secure institutional donations for development.
Deed Dashboard with 8 dimensions. ABCD Journal. Five Pillars Tracker with prayer times. User accounts. Basic Guardian Mode (True Life only).
DeenMind AI — Pocket Mufti persona (Quran + Hadith RAG). Life Calendar. Prophetic Clock. Progress Card with mindset stage. Take Benefit of Five Before Five.
Life Coaching Cohorts (Team Buddies of 5). 5-week Transformation Blocks. Course library. Basic social feed. Guardian Mode for True Connect.
2–3 pilot masjids go live. 20–50 real youth per masjid. Imams as first Producers. Parents as first Guardians. Real data flows in.
True Coach launched — Course Builder, Cohort Manager, Student Overview, Revenue Dashboard. Pyramid visualization. Advanced DeenMind agents begin rolling out.
Full public launch. All three apps complete. Complete DeenMind agent suite. Full Guardian Mode across both sections. Arabic UI + English UI.
Hero's Journey is a nonprofit. Every revenue conversation starts from: "How do we keep this running for the youth without ever selling their data or putting profit above purpose?"
Corporate CSR, Islamic foundations, masjid partnerships — fund development and infrastructure
Consistent monthly contributions from community members — the masjid funding model, applied to software
Corporate AI infrastructure donors (NVIDIA, Google Cloud, AWS grants for nonprofits)
Small, transparent percentage (5%) on course revenue. Scholars keep 95%
Platform fee on tips — covers payment processing + small platform contribution
Small, transparent fraction of community-raised funds supports operations
The client's deck defines Producers and Consumers. TrueBlue adds Guardian Mode for parents, creating three distinct experiences within a single app.
Youth & Students
Imams, Teachers, Mentors, Life Coaches
Parents with Linked Children
Each pilot masjid provides 20–50 youth who use the app daily. Their imam becomes the first Producer — building courses, leading cohorts. Their parents become the first Guardians — validating the safety features. The pilot runs for 2–3 months. Every feature gets tested with real youth before a single stranger downloads the app.
Imam and community leaders comfortable with smartphones
Mixed ages, both genders represented
Someone from our team can visit if needed
Four things you need to bring to the table before development begins. Everything else flows from here.
We need the Excel worksheets referenced throughout your deck for each of the 8 Dimensions of Wellness. These are the curriculum that fills TrueBlue. Without them, we’re building a shell. You know what youth need at each dimension — we need that detail in writing.
Someone from your side who will be accountable for both the entire vision and the system. This person owns the product decisions, coordinates with scholars, reviews builds, and carries the torch when we’re not in the room. A nonprofit platform without an internal champion stalls.
Before we write code, we validate demand. Identify 2–3 pilot masjids willing to go live with real youth. Talk to parents. Survey the community. The prototypes go in front of real people during the SELL phase. We don’t build in a vacuum — we build what the ummah actually needs.
You define what makes TrueBlue usable and popular among youth from day one. Which features create the habit? What makes a 16-year-old open the app every single day? The Deed Dashboard? DeenMind? The cohort? You decide the anchor feature that drives adoption. We build around it. Without this clarity, we risk building something technically beautiful that nobody opens twice.
"A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself."
— Joseph Campbell
Luke Skywalker left Tatooine. Neo took the red pill. Simba returned to Pride Rock.
And every Muslim youth, standing at the edge of their Ordinary World, is waiting
for their call to adventure.
You wrote the vision. Let's bring it to life.
Every document and conversation uses your framing — Hero's Journey stages, Deen & Dunya, the 5 Questions, ABCD, Barakah/Taqwa/Adab. We don't translate your vision into tech-speak.
The HTML prototypes are the primary communication tool. You see exactly what you're getting before we write a line of code. No "trust me, it'll look great."
You see working software every month. Not a big reveal after 8 months. The MVP ships in 3 months with the Deed Dashboard. You touch it. You give feedback. We iterate.
Tell, Sell, Propel, Excel — your four-stage model — is how we structure the engagement. We don't impose an external methodology.
